I am a historian of US international history whose research is situated at the intersection of the United States and the Middle East. I have published widely on the history of US-Iran relations, with broader research interests in the history of diplomacy, non-state actors, and transnational processes relating to politics, religion, education, development, and human rights in the twentieth century.
